Take advantage of frequent feed shifting

Increasing feed shifting frequency pays off by stimulating frequent eating during the day and night, which leads to higher feed intake by your cows. This not only has a positive effect on animal health, but also improves fertility, production and your financial results.

Clever forage pushing with Lely

The Lely Juno is your partner for intelligent forage pushing. The robot moves automatically and autonomously along the feed table. It follows the programmed routes while the rotating mechanism on the bottom pushes the feed against the feed fence. Controlling the Juno is easy with the Lely Control Plus app for mobile devices.

Automatic feed shifting

Automating the repetitive work of pushing feed increases the frequency of feed pushing and reduces your workload at the same time. You save up to 180 hours per year: valuable time that you can use for other activities on your farm. In addition, you benefit from an always clean feed table and lower fuel consumption.

Flexible Optionen

For added flexibility, the machine can be equipped with various options. These include a smart "skirt lifter" that minimizes wear and allows left and right side pushing for increased capacity. If your cows are housed in different barns, there is also barn door control as an option. Additionally, an electric bump ring guard and LED indicator are available for better visibility at night. All options can be combined in the Flex package.

Dynamic pushing

Dynamic feed shifting is enabled by default on every feed shifting route. Dynamic feed shifting is important because the feed is never evenly distributed over the entire feed table. However, thanks to the intelligent software, this does not matter. For each route, you can set the minimum distance to the feed fence, the pushing frequency and the type of feed per group. Based on this data, the software determines the correct degree of resistance and the necessary pushing force. Depending on the amount of feed at a given location, the Juno automatically corrects the optimal distance to the feeding fence. This guarantees that the Juno pushes the feed correctly over the entire length of the feed fence in every situation . Thanks to dynamic feed pushing, the feed is never pushed too hard. This prevents secondary heating and the feed stays fresh. Driving on straight lines without an intelligent control of the pushing behavior, it can happen, if there is not much feed in front of the grid, that not all of the feed has been pushed. Likewise, large quantities of feed can hinder the travel of a machine that does not react dynamically and increase the energy requirement unnecessarily. With the dynamic feed pushing of the Lely Juno, the cows can always reach the feed.

The Lely Juno can drive on slopes with 8.5⁰ or 15%. We recommend driving on such steep slopes only if the skirt is raised or if the Lely Juno is equipped with the Flex package. Without the skirt lift function, the Lely Juno can drive on slopes up to 5⁰ or 8% in the standard configuration.

Avoidance of empty runs possible

The Lely Juno is equipped with intelligent software. This enables the Juno to estimate the necessary distance to the feed fence to optimally push the feed. The route is based on the amount of feed on the feed fence and its resistance. The Lely Juno can push left and right and navigate by ultrasound with additional equipment options such as in the Flex package. This makes it possible, for example, to push single-sided feed tables on the outward and return journey and avoid empty runs.

Option to leave the feed table

The Lely Juno is designed for outdoor work as well as for CE-compliant travel across the farm premises.

Lely is deliberately against the use of attract feeders when pushing feed. This creates crowding and stress at the feed table. Attract feed encourages cows to select the ration and eat larger individual quantities in fewer feed table visits. This worsens feed conversion and rumen health. Thus, bait works against the actual purpose of automated feed pushing.

Alarm signal in case of problem

Alarms and alerts are sent either via the Bluetooth connection, or additionally via the optional WLAN connection to the cloud service. In addition, there are optical and acoustic signal transmitters on the machine and charging station.
