The MST 5000 handheld meter is used for fast and accurate determination of volumetric soil moisture and soil temperature and can be used for direct, point measurements in all soils and substrates.

Objective measurement through FDR technology.

The measuring principle is based on the FDR technology and enables an objective measurement that is only negligibly influenced by other chemical soil properties such as pH and salinity. With this measuring method it should be noted that the same measured values can only be obtained with the same environmental conditions (soil density, penetration depth) of the sensor. Several measurements and an average calculation from these measured values is therefore absolutely recommended. The easy handling, the immediate and direct display of the measured values in volume% moisture, the °C temperature are the outstanding features of the measuring system.
