SWM 5000

SWM 5000 is the automated monitoring system for efficient irrigation management.

The measuring principle of the SWM 5000 is based on the latest FDR technology (Frequency Domain Reflectometry). It enables fast and precise determination of soil moisture. The central hardware component is a robust stainless steel measuring probe with sensor unit at the tip. This can be manually pressed into the soil to the desired depth. In irrigation management, the water storage capacity of deeper layers can thus also be taken into account.

After measuring the soil moisture at various points, the measured values are evaluated via a SWM Companion App and a recommendation is made for the required irrigation quantity. There, the measurement data can be assigned to the field designations and saved with special properties (e.g. relief maps, inhomogeneous soil sections). These factors are then taken into account when calculating the site-specific irrigation amounts.

The "SWM Companion" app is available for both iOS and Android. It can be downloaded free of charge from the app store and installed on the smartphone. Data is transferred wirelessly via Bluetooth.
