wiCow is an intelligent early warning system for monitoring birth, health and oestrus in dairy cows.

The wiCow system automates health control and animal monitoring on dairy farms in a simple way. Thus, farmers are able to detect diseases as well as production-relevant events in a timely manner and can thus initiate targeted measures much earlier. The system consists of 4 components: intravaginal sensor, repeater, base station and a sensor finder. The intravaginal sensor is made of medical grade material. Numerous tests have proven that the sensor does not cause discomfort to the animal and consequently does not cause any health damage.
