NIR sensors
NIR sensors (near infrared spectroscopy) can, on the one hand, measure ingredients such as dry matter or crude fiber on the forage harvester. They are also used on the slurry tanker to measure the nutrient content of the slurry. This is important to optimize the amount of fertilizer applied to the field and to avoid overfertilization. By using NIR sensors, the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content of the slurry can be accurately determined and the fertilizer addition adjusted accordingly to ensure effective nutrient utilization and healthy plant growth.
